Q: Do I need an account to participate in an auction?
A: Yes, all bidders must create an account and complete the registration process before participating in any auction.
Q: Are auctions open to the public?
A: Yes. We do not have people come to us on the day of the auction as all bidding is done via the internet whilst the auction is live streamed so you can bid via one of our live bidding platforms , on the telephone or leave commission bids on the book .
Buying at Auction
Q: How do I place a bid?
A: Bids can be placed in by phone, absentee form, or through our online bidding platform. Instructions will be provided for each auction.
Q: Is there a buyer’s premium?
A: Yes, a buyer’s premium is added to the final hammer price ( 16% + VAT ) This fee is listed in the terms and conditions.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: We accept major credit & debit cards for amounts up to £2000 & bank/wire transfers for any amount. Payment terms will be included in the invoice.
Q: What happens if I win an item?
A: You will receive an invoice shortly after the auction ends & will be very happy to provide inhouse shipping for your items ( there are a few exceptions ) .
Selling at Auction
Q: How do I consign an item for auction?
A: Simply submit your item for evaluation using our online form, or schedule an appointment with one of our specialists . We are happy to travel to you for a large quantity of items.
Q: What types of items do you accept?
A: We specialise in Militaria & antique collectables. If you're unsure whether your item qualifies, contact us for a free consultation.
Q: Are there fees to sell at auction?
A: Yes, sellers are solely charged a commission based on the final sale price. There are no hidden charges such as photography , lotting or admin fees .
Q: When do I get paid?
A: Payment is typically issued within 30 days after the auction, assuming we have received full payment from the buyer.
Shipping & Pickup
Q: Do you offer shipping?
A: Yes, we offer an in house shipping service . Shipping estimates can be provided upon request.
Q: Can I pick up my item in person?
A: Absolutely. Pickup is available by appointment at our location. Please bring a valid ID and your invoice.
