WW2 British flashed helmet to the Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry. MkII helmet issued in smooth khaki paint then overpainted with a rough finish for camouflage effect. Liner with date of 1939 , chinstrap intact. The DCLI fought in Normandy July 1944 at Hill 112 attached to the 43rd ( Wessex) Infantry Division.
