1st July 1916 First day Somme Casualty 11th Accrington Pals , East Lancs Death Plaque & Related Ephemera. Named to 'Arthur Moore' killed on the First Day of the Somme & buried at Serre Road Cemetery  No.2. with a Post Office Telegraph originating 'OHMS' dated 13 March 1919 handwritten in pencil  'A Moore 62 Freehold Street , Hull, Yorkshire . War Office confirmation that travel warrant for France issued today and is to be collected at Hull station -Imperial Grave Commission representative will meet party on arrival. ' On the rear of this Telegraph is a map handdrawn of the cemetery area. Also a privately taken album removed photograph of two ladies/ assumed family members. Comes in a GPO marked envelope stamped 'OHMS' addressed to 'A.Moore esq, 62 Freehold St, Hull, Yorkshire'.  With return label to reverse 'If Undelivered return to :The Manager , Memorial Plaque Factory, 54-56 Church Rd . Acton , London. '  A serial number of '27277' appears to reverse of envelope & on address label. Comes with printed research shown.
