WW1 British War & Victory Medal Pair To South Wales Borderers Officer Wounded In Action. 2nd Lieutenant DP Joss of the 6th South Borderers was born 23rd September 1894 in Bristol. Joined Bristol officer Training Corps as a Cadet on 14th August 1914. Joined infantry ( 6th SWB) in December 1914 entered theatre of war on 21st March 1916. Recorded as serving as a temporary Lieutenant at the time he sustained a gunshot wound /fratcured femur whilst on active service at the front. Spent 68 days in hospital , discharged from hospital 20/4/19. Entitled to a silver war badge also.
